Christmas Season in Vigan City

The City Government of the Heritage City of Vigan formally marked the start of the Christmas season by lighting this year's colorful 37-foot Christmas Tree in front of Vigan City Hall.

The public was not allowed to attend this year's opening ceremony because to the pandemic, but they were able to watch it live online via the City's official Facebook page.

Meanwhile, this year's Christmas Tree budget is far lower than past years. Both attractions will be manned by city officials and the Philippine National Police to guarantee that the Basic Health Protocols are followed by visitors.

In this time of pandemic, the big, dazzling Christmas Tree brings hope and happiness to every Bigueo and Ilocano.
