Biguenos from all over the country and even from other countries travel to Vigan to join their family and friends in celebrating their fiesta, as is customary for Filipinos.

In the event of a COVID outbreak, big public gatherings and non-essential activities were canceled or postponed as far back as January 2021. As a result, Vigan's municipal government devised ways to celebrate without threatening the virus's spread, albeit in a significantly different manner than in prior years.
Others may suffer as a result of the interruption of casual gatherings and family ceremonies that take place at times of celebration, among other things. Although there was no carnival or street dance, they held a party in their own barangay to commemorate the occasion. Nothing should prevent us from singing songs, dancing, playing games, and eating specific delicacies to honor traditions and appreciate our culture.
